Questions About Your Kit

1. How does the refundable deposit work?

When you place your order, you pay the price of your chosen kipple.kit, along with a refundable deposit. Within 12 months, if you wish to return your kit, you will get back your deposit based on the number of items you return.

2. Why do I need to pay the deposit?

We realised that when students leave University, they struggle to resell, donate or take their things home with them. This causes a lot of waste (over 200 tonnes!). Our mission is to help students when they depart, and reduce waste. When you leave, you can return your kit and get your deposit back! Check out our returns policy.

3. When should I order my kipple.kit?

Ideally, as soon as you book your accommodation! If you place your order one week prior to your arrival date, we will aim to deliver it to you on the day you arrive.

4. Can I make changes to my order after I’ve placed it?

Yes! You can change which kipple.kit you’ve ordered by emailing us on sales@kipple-uk.com, or contacting us on our facebook page.

5. How do I know what size bedding to order?

Usually, your accommodation provider will specify the size of the bed. However, if you aren’t sure – drop us a message/DM and one of our kit.care student advisors will find out for you!

6. I didn’t pre-order my kipple.kit, can I get it when I arrive?

Yes! We keep a small stock in the Shop(SU) and in our UEA on campus pop-up stalls. We can’t guarantee that there will be kits available when you arrive, so we recommend ordering them online before you arrive.

7. How can I pay?

We accept all major credit/debit cards. You can also pay via paypal, apple pay, google pay and direct bank transfer. If you are abroad and are facing difficulty with processing your payment – contact us and we’ll sort it out for you.

8. Can I return the kit and get a refund?

Yes! Within 14 days after delivery, you can change your mind. We accept the kipple.kits back as long as they are unused, in resaleable condition and all items are returned in the original box. Please contact us on sales@kipple-uk.com to arrange return.

9. I am leaving University, how do I return my kipple.kit?

You can ship it to us or drop it off at our on-campus collection points. Email, message or DM us with your order number and we will process the return for you! Once the kipple.kit is received we will aim to return your deposit within 14 days.

10. I want to return my kipple.kit but I have broken/lost several items? Will I get my deposit back?

Yes! We return the deposits based on the number of items you return, even if they aren’t in the best condition - we will accept them! We don’t want to overcomplicate things so our deposit scheme is very simple.Your deposit depends on number of items you return:

0-3 items missing full deposit refunded
4-6 items missing 70% of deposit refunded
7-10 items missing 50% of deposit refunded
11-14 items missing 20% of deposit refunded
more than 14 items mising no deposit refunded


11. What if I want to keep my kipple.kit?

We like our stuff, and we’re sure you do too! You can keep your kit by foregoing the refundable deposit. You can let us know at sales@kipple-uk.com or by messaging us on any social media.

Questions About Delivery

12. Can I schedule a delivery date?

Yes. When you check out, you can specify your date of arrival and address. Even if it’s midnight – we’ve got you covered!
You can also book your kit without specifying your address and pick it up from one of our UEA on-campus pop-up stalls.

13. What if I am delayed, or not in on the specified time of arrival?

Your kipple.kit is delivered by a team of student kit.care advisors who will be in touch with you prior to your arrival, and on the day itself to make sure you have a great first day!
